Este septiembre del 2009 arrancó Experimenta Design, la bienal de diseño portuguesa. Su última edición fue en 2005, pues la que tenía que haberse celebrado en Lisboa en 2007 debió ser cancelada repentinamente al haberle retirado el apoyo un alcalde con pocas luces. Y es que, además de ser uno de los eventos internacionales más interesantes sobre diseño, otro de sus grandes atractivos es que muestra la belleza de Lisboa a espuertas.
